Ethical Beauty Therapy
Born in Canberra, I have lived here all my life. I studied Early Childhood Education for many years but have always had a keen interest in beauty. I first studied Beauty Therapy in 2011, graduating with a Certificate IV in Beauty Therapy, and again in 2015, graduating with a Diploma in Beauty Therapy. An autoimmune diagnosis led to a more considered approach to self-care and the discovery of “slow”.
Slow Beauty Eco Salon is a boutique salon in my home in O’Connor. Slow Beauty Eco Salon was established in 2012 as Beauty By Natalie and is guided by “Best Practice”. Having spent time working in privately-owned salons, I was disheartened to discover all wasn’t as it appeared. I felt that I could not provide the standard of service I felt my clients deserved within the constraints of someone else’s business. Attaining a Diploma of New Small Business in 2017, I launched Slow Beauty Eco Salon with a focus on authenticity and transparency.
I invite you to indulge in one (or many!) of my treatments and take some time to care for yourself, leaving all the hard work in my hands – Natalie McBurney
