COVID-19 Safe and Accessible Beauty Therapy in Canberra

Providing safe and accessible Beauty Therapy, reducing the risk of infection during the ongoing COVID-19 Pandemic.

COVID-19 has not gone away

It may not be getting the media coverage or government briefings, but COVID-19 is still infecting and reinfecting people every single week.

The virus spreads in the air

It spreads like smoke when we breathe, and it takes just seconds to breathe in enough to get infected.

All infections can cause serious problems

From breathing difficulties, fatigue, and headaches to cardiac damage, immune dysfunction and neurological difficulties, all infections can leave complications in their wake.

Everyone is vulnerable

Even young and healthy people. It’s not just old and immunocompromised people that need to avoid infection. We all do.

We can reduce our risk

We can take action to protect ourselves and those we love. Vaccines PLUS ventilation, filtration and using high-quality masks can reduce the risk of infection.

We all deserve to be safe

Guidelines for keeping each other safer while gathering in person during the ongoing COVID-19 Pandemic.

Health and Safety

Slow Beauty Eco Salon attaches the highest priority to protecting the safety and well-being of clients, staff and the local community. We seek advice from the world’s leading health experts, virologists, and Australia’s public authorities to respond to the evolving global health situation and create a safe environment. We continue to monitor the development of the COVID-19 pandemic, consult with health experts and authorities, and will adapt the measures accordingly if needed.

Slow Beauty strongly recommends that clients are vaccinated with the latest available vaccines and take a COVID-19 test before travelling to the studio.

Before your appointment

Clients are strongly recommended to be fully vaccinated against COVID-19 with the latest available vaccines and to take a COVID-19 test before their appointment.

Please note that I am fully vaccinated against COVID-19.

Symptom and Exposure Screening

In addition to the Illness Policy, this screening form is used to manage health and safety at Slow Beauty Eco Salon during the ongoing SARS-CoV-2 (COVID-19) pandemic. As a person at high risk of severe illness and death, additional measures to mitigate the risks of SARS-CoV-2 are in place.

Protect your health during your appointment

Masks

FFP2 respirators are required. If you don’t have one, you can purchase one for $4. I will wear a respirator at all times.

Wellness

If you feel unwell or show any symptoms of COVID-19, please do not attend your appointment. Call the studio on 6156 4746 as soon as possible to let me know.

Ventilation and disinfection

The studio is cleaned, disinfected and ventilated several times a day. A state-of-the-art HEPA filtration system is in operation providing 6-14 Air Changes per Hour (ACH). Hand sanitiser will be provided on arrival and is available in the studio.

Slow Beauty Eco Salon maintains strict infection control standards and holds a current Skin Penetration Licence, undertaking annual inspections by ACT Health’s Infection Control Unit. These standards ensure that equipment is disinfected and all surfaces are thoroughly sanitised between clients. I am highly trained in maintaining these standards, having undertaken industry-specific Infection Control training as well as COVID-19 Infection Control Training provided by the Australian Government Department of Health. You can be assured that I am doing all I can to ensure the safety of my clients, particularly during this time.
