Terms and Conditions

1. ‘Special Offers’

1.1 ‘Special Offers’: All discounted beauty treatment price offers displayed at slowbeauty.com.au, are on sale, online-only, for pre-purchase, while stocks last. These deals are available for purchase at a discount to the normal RRP Slow Beauty treatment pricing. Please note, these deals are discount price offers that Slow Beauty review and update regularly at slowbeauty.com.au, therefore prices may fluctuate each hour and each time you visit this web page. As a result of unforeseen circumstances, Slow Beauty reserves the right to re-schedule, refund or modify this booking.

1.2 Payment: ‘Special Offers’ are available for purchase only via online credit card. ‘Special Offers’ cannot be requested for use and paid for in conjunction with any other Slow Beauty discount voucher, postcard promotion, advertisement special offer or other discounted Slow Beauty promotional offer.

1.3 Rescheduling: ‘Special Offers’ cannot be adjusted, cancelled or refunded within 24 hours of the scheduled booking. ‘Special Offers’ can be rescheduled online no less than 24 hrs prior to your appointment. If you do miss your ‘Special Offer’ appointment there will be no refund issued or rescheduling allowed.

1.4 Refunds: For a ‘Special Offer’ refund, you must contact us via email, (sales@slowbeauty.com.au) before 24 hours before your scheduled appointment, for a full refund. Refunds cannot be given in the final 24 hours, due to costs associated with the scheduled appointment.

2. Online Appointment Request

2.1 Online Appointment Request: These requests are un-confirmed. We will then respond via email and strive to confirm your request. As a result of unforeseen circumstances, Slow Beauty reserves the right to re-schedule or offer to modify this Appointment Request. Slow Beauty may not be able to accommodate this Appointment Request.

2.2 Payment: The remaining balance for your Appointment Request must be paid for after you have confirmed your appointment online, or at the time of treatment in store.

3. Gift Vouchers

3.1 Valid:
Gift Cards do not expire unless stated on the voucher eg. promotional gift cards have an expiry if they were free with a purchase or gifted in support of a local charity. Gift cards are not refundable and cannot be exchanged for cash in part or full. Gift cards are redeemable at the monetary value at the time of purchase and should only be purchased directly from Slow Beauty Eco Salon. Cards purchased through other suppliers will not be honoured. 

3.2 Key conditions of use: Treat Gift Cards like cash. Please keep your Gift Card in a safe place, however, if you lose it or it is stolen, your Gift Card can be located by providing the name of the purchaser to the salon. Gift Cards are not redeemable for cash and cannot be exchanged. Gift cards are non-transferable and not redeemable to purchase other gift cards. 

3.3 Redemption: Each year many Slow Beauty gift cards are purchased at a large discount to their actual redeemable face value, (e.g. they are purchased via a Gift Card sale event, such as Black Friday, Mothers Day, Valentine’s Day, Christmas, or Other gift card sales event in-store or online). Gift Cards cannot be double discounted. Gift Cards can only be redeemed for RRP beauty products and beauty services in-store. Dollar Value Gift Vouchers can be used/redeemed on any Slow Beauty Monthly Treatment Promotion in-store. All Gift Cards cannot be used in conjunction with any other Slow Beauty discount voucher, discount promotional marketing offer or Slow Beauty special promotion.

3.4 Validation: Gift Cards cannot be used for an online purchase at slowbeauty.com.au.

3.5 Online fraud protection: To protect our online customers, all online treatment bookings and all online Gift Card purchases are protected. Treatments and vouchers cannot be used or redeemed in a fraudulent manner at Slow Beauty. Persons planning to redeem an online treatment credit card purchase or an online gift card credit card purchase will be cross-checked for customer protection. The gift voucher recipient will be asked to provide appropriate identification upon redemption.

3.6 Currency: All prices displayed on the slowbeauty.com.au web pages are in AUD (Australian Dollars).

4. Beauty Products online at slowbeauty.com.au

4.1 Special Product Offers: All discounted beauty product price offers displayed online at shinebeauty.com, are on sale, online only, while stocks (inventory) lasts. These Special Product Offers, discount product prices are available for purchase at a discount to the normal RRP Slow Beauty product pricing as displayed at Slow Beauty Eco Salon and are for online pre-purchase only. These ‘Special product offers’ are not available at Slow Beauty Eco Salon. Please note, all Special Product Offers are discount price offers that Slow Beauty review and update on a regular basis at slowbeauty.com.au, therefore prices may fluctuate each hour and each time you visit this web page.

4.2 Processing your product payment and order: As a result of unforeseen circumstances, Slow Beauty reserves the right to contact you and refund this payment and order.

4.3 Payment: Special Product Offers are available for purchase only via online direct bank transfer or credit card. They cannot be requested for purchase or use with a previously purchased Slow Beauty gift card. Special Product Offers cannot be requested for purchase in store, or purchased online in conjunction with any other Slow Beauty product discount voucher, postcard promotion, advertisement special offer or other discounted Slow Beauty promotional offer.

4.4 Delivery: Slow Beauty online Product Orders are normally delivered within 7-10 days with Australia POST.

5. E-Card / Postcard discount vouchers: ‘Happy Birthday $25 off’, ‘Friendship is a gift $20 off’, ‘We’d love to get you glowing again $20 off and ‘Thank You $20 off’

5.1 These vouchers can be used on your next treatment purchase at Slow Beauty to receive a one-off discount at their face value. Each e-Card / Postcard can be redeemed once only, by the customer who receives the e-Card / Postcard discount voucher. It can be used to enjoy a discount (to the value that it represents) before normal RRP Slow Beauty treatment pricing as displayed at Slow Beauty Eco Salon.

5.2 The e-Card / Postcard discount offers cannot be transferred or redeemed for cash.

5.3 Valid: e-Card / Postcard discount vouchers are valid for no less than four (4) weeks from the date of dispatch (date sent).

5.4 Redemption: These feature discount treatment vouchers are available for use in salon only. The e-Card / Postcard discount vouchers cannot be used or redeemed for online purchases. They cannot be used in conjunction with any other Slow Beauty discount promotion, voucher, discount card, or discounted promotion or special offer.

Arrival

Please arrive 5 minutes before your scheduled appointment time.

If you are late for your appointment, that time will be lost and your treatment will not be completed to the usual standard of Slow Beauty Eco Salon.  If you are more than 10 minutes late for your appointment, we may not be able to accommodate you. In this case, the reservation fee will be forfeited. We will do our very best to schedule your service for another time that is convenient for you.

Cancellations

Appointments are reserved especially for you. We understand that plans change, so we kindly ask that you provide 24 hours’ notice should you need to change or cancel your appointment, otherwise your reservation fee will be forfeited. Confirmation of an appointment is an acknowledgment of this policy.

Cancelling an Appointment that was part of a Series

If you need to cancel a treatment that was part of a prepaid series, the same policy applies as any other treatment: 24 hours notice, or you lose your reservation fee.  As there is no fee paid in this case, one reservation from your series is forfeited.

Changes to Terms & Conditions

We reserve the right to change any of our terms and conditions at any time, for any reason. Any changes will be posted on www.slowbeauty.com.au.

Changing the Treatment in an Appointment that was part of a Series

Series’ carry a heavy discount, so they’re not refundable and not able to be swapped out for other treatments. If you want to have something different on the day, that’s usually fine, but you’ll need to pay for it separately.

Checking your Gift Card Balance

We don’t send statements of Gift Cards transactions or their balances. If you want to check your balance just log in to the client portal and any remaining balance will be visible on your dashboard. 

Checking your VIP Rewards Balance

Your VIP Rewards balance can be found on your Client Portal Dashboard. To see how many points a transaction has earnt, check the bottom of any receipts for purchases on treatments or products which were made in-salon. For online purchases, the receipt does not show VIP Rewards but rest assured you do receive them. They will be manually added to your in-salon account.

Confirmation Policy

You will receive an email and SMS reminder two days prior to your reservation. Please confirm with us at least one day before your appointment to ensure your time is held. Reservations which remain unconfirmed will be cancelled, the reservation fee will be forfeited and the time will be released to our Waiting List.  This is a courtesy service, but please do not rely on it as your only reminder. Occasionally our system will malfunction, and not receiving a reminder is not an acceptable reason for missing your appointment. Our Reservation Policy will apply in the case of missed appointments. 

Contraindications

You will receive a complete list of contraindications to the services booked upon booking. Please familiarise yourself with these contraindications, as some contraindications prevent the performance of services. If you arrive at your appointment and you are contraindicated to service, your reservation will be rescheduled and you will be liable for 100% of the scheduled service fees.

First Time Client Invitation Gift Voucher

Can be used only by a new guest, which means someone who has never before been to Slow Beauty Eco Salon for treatments, or who has not purchased from us online or in-salon for more than 2 years. The First Time Client Invitation Gift Voucher is not valid with any other offer. It is not redeemable for cash or product. The FREE upgrade is not available as an individual service. The retail gift may be redeemed with a service gift or individually. It is non-transferable. No substitutions are allowed. Complimentary service upgrade is not redeemable towards any treatment which already includes the same service. All gifts are valid for 8-weeks from the date of issue.

Gift Cards

Gift Cards are treated like cash at Slow Beauty Eco Salon. To book a treatment you will need to provide the Gift Card number. If you cannot provide the number you will need to pay a 50% deposit as per our usual Reservation Policy. Gift Vouchers must be present with you at the time of payment in order to redeem. If you don’t have the voucher with you, you will need to pay in full. This will be refunded to you if you return and present the Gift Card.
If you purchase a Gift Card for a specific treatment, eg. ‘The Ultimate Glow Package’, the voucher will revert back to the dollar amount after 2 months as our menu changes and we may be unable to provide that service anymore. All Gift Cards are non-refundable and cannot be cancelled. No change will be given on a Gift Card. 

Gift Cards do not expire, unless they are of a promotional nature, in which case they expire on the advertised date.

Guarantee

Your satisfaction is our highest priority. We are committed to providing our clients with professional service using the finest products available and include thorough post-care advice and education on how to maintain the results of your treatment at home.  How you take care of your skin is important and how you care for your skin in the time between treatments will determine the outcome of your in-salon treatments. We cannot guarantee results if you choose not to follow the recommended pre and post-treatment advice or use unsuitable skincare products. If for whatever reason you are unhappy with the results of your treatment, please let us know during your treatment, or within 24 hours after your service has been performed and we will rectify at no extra charge at a time suitable for us both as close to the original appointment as possible.

Health History, Consultation & Screening Forms

Before your reservation, we will email you any associated consultation and screening forms. It is imperative that you complete these documents to the best of your knowledge. Please do not assume that any information requested is unnecessary. We are highly trained professionals, and we are asking for this information in order to provide you with the safest possible treatment. You are not expected to know all of the risks and contraindications associate with treatment, that is our job. Please oblige us with as much information as is requested so that we am can perform your services as safely as possible.

Illness and suspected illness Policy

If you are unwell, we ask that you please call as soon as you are able to reschedule your appointment. If it is outside of the 24-hour cancellation window, please reschedule your reservation online. If you are unable to provide adequate notice, regrettably your reservation fee will be forfeited. If you attend an appointment while you are unwell, you will be refused service and you will be liable for 100% of your scheduled reservation fee.

Informed Consent

Before your reservation, we will email you a consultation form. For insurance and health department compliance, we can’t treat you until you have completed it.

Lost or Stolen Gift Cards

Lost or stolen Gift Cards will not be reissued so keep them safe! The bearer of the Gift Card will be taken to be the owner of the Gift Card. Gift Cards cannot be cancelled.

Mobile Phone Policy

We ask that you turn off your phone upon arrival. We strive to provide guests with a tranquil and private escape from the outside world.  Please help us by turning off mobile phones upon entering Slow Beauty Eco Salon.

Parking

Please feel free to park in the driveway if it is free. Parking is also available on the street. Please do not park opposite any other parked vehicles, as this compromises access for residents and emergency vehicles. We do not guarantee that parking will be available. Please ensure you plan adequate time to secure parking and attend your appointment on time.

Payment

Osko with PayID (connect@slowbeauty.com.au), Apple Pay, Google Pay, EFTPOS (provided the card has a chip), VISA, MasterCard and American Express are accepted for payment. Card transactions are subject to a 2% surcharge. If you hold a Gift Card please quote your Gift Card number when scheduling your appointment.

Promotions

Promotional offers cannot be used in conjunction with any other promotion or offer or promotional voucher. No rainchecks apply. No refunds or substitutions available for promotions, for example, if you don’t want something which is in a promotional package, you cannot exchange it for something else. Gift vouchers cannot be redeemed on promotional offers.

Reaction to a Series treatment

To confirm a true reaction an in-salon consultation is required.
If your therapist confirms a true reaction we will recommend the most appropriate treatment to exchange for.
We will issue an account credit for the entire series amount paid, then deduct at full price any treatments you have already had. The remaining value can be spent on the treatment which has been recommended for you. No refunds are possible.

Refunds

Slow Beauty Eco Salon does not offer refunds for change of mind, so please choose carefully.  Where a refund or replacement is required under the Australian Consumer Law, we will work with you to ensure you are provided with the necessary reasonable remedy specific to your circumstances. Slow Beauty Eco Salon’s goods and services come with guarantees that cannot be excluded under the Australian Consumer Law. For major failures with the service, you are entitled to cancel your service contract with us; and to a refund for the unused portion, or to compensation for its reduced value.  

You are also entitled to choose a refund or replacement for major failures with goods. If a failure with the goods or service does not amount to a major failure, you are entitled to have the failure rectified in a reasonable time. If this is not done you are entitled to a refund for the goods and to cancel the contract for the service and obtain a refund of any unused portion. You are also entitled to be compensated for any other reasonably foreseeable loss or damage from a failure in the goods or service.

You are not entitled to a refund for change of mind or change of purpose for which you bought the product or service, including for pre-pays, where there is no product or service failure. You are also not entitled to a refund where you found the product or service cheaper somewhere else, decided you did not like the purchase or had no use for it. 

Reservation Policy

A 50% non-refundable reservation fee and a credit card held on file secures your reservation. It is applied against your reservation and is transferable to another time (less any charges) as long as 24 hours notice is provided for any changes or cancellations.
Less notice for any reason forfeits the reservation fee.

For cancellations, provided more than 24 hours’ notice is provided, we will return your booking fee in full, less any amounts paid for product which you have purchased for home use (which you may collect by scheduling a Product Pick-Up), and transaction fees as an instore credit. 

Where your method of payment was by way of a gift voucher or instore credit, and a cancellation cost applies as noted above, the value of the cancellation cost will be deducted from your gift voucher or instore credit. 

If you don’t attend your appointment, you will be liable for 100% of the service fee. This fee must be paid prior to you receiving another appointment. You will also be required to prepay all future appointments. If you do not attend your appointment on two occasions within a twelve-month period, you will no longer be accepted as a client of Slow Beauty Eco Salon.

In the event of a true, unavoidable emergency, all or part of your cancellation fee may be applied to future services. 

To avoid disappointment and secure your preferred appointment time, we ask you to schedule your appointments in advance. We will always be accommodating to your busy schedule and preferred time, however, in instances where we may not be able to immediately accommodate your request, we have a ‘Waiting List’ which is referred to daily when instances of cancellations or availabilities occur.

Reserved Rights

Slow Beauty Eco Salon reserves the right to change and alter these conditions without any notification.

Series

Package validity periods are advised in each description and will automatically expire after the advised number of days. Packages are non-refundable and non-transferrable.

When you prepay a series of treatments, they’re to be performed in a certain time frame, specific to each series and stated at the time of sale.  This ensures you get the results promised.

Prepaid Series packages give you a discount in exchange for upfront payment. As such they cannot be paid off over multiple appointments unless otherwise advertised. Series packages are redeemable for 6 months from the date of issue (unless advertised otherwise) after which time they are invalid. You must use all of the services before the expiry as any un-used value is forfeited. Series treatments can only be redeemed on the treatment for which they were purchased – you cannot swap one of your series for another type of treatment.

Series packages are for use by one (1) person for the stated treatments, in the stated period. All sales are final, series packages cannot be refunded, substituted or exchanged after purchase. Purchase of a series indicates acceptance of these conditions.

VIP Rewards Program

Spa Dollars may be used to pay for treatments as specified in that month’s promotional calendar. They cannot be used to part-pay, you must have enough to pay for the entire treatment. Spa Dollars expire after 6 months of inactivity in the salon.
No redemptions from October 30 to February 28 every year.
