Eco Beauty Salon Etiquette & Policies

Arrival

Please arrive 5 minutes prior to the start of your scheduled appointment.  Late arrivals will be subject to reduced treatment times.

Minimum Age

Children are not permitted in the salon unless they have an appointment and are accompanied by an adult. Written consent is required from a parent or legal guardian for services on any child under 18 years of age.

Mobile Phones

I strive to my guests with a tranquil and private escape from the outside world.  Please help me by turning off mobile phones upon entering Slow Beauty Eco Salon.

Guarantee

I guarantee my service and provide a thorough consultation prior to any service. I am highly trained and committed to excellence. I provide my clients with professional service using the finest products available and provide thorough post-care advice and education on how to maintain the results of your treatment at home.  How you take care of your skin is important. Great results are 20% in-salon treatments and 80% how you care for your skin in the time between treatments. I cannot guarantee lasting results if you choose not to follow the recommended pre and post-treatment advice or use unsuitable skincare products. If for whatever reason you are unhappy with the results of your treatment, I will rectify at no extra charge within one week of the original service.

Reservations

To avoid disappointment and secure your preferred appointment time, I ask you to schedule your appointments in advance. I will always be accommodating to your busy schedule and preferred time, however, in instances where I may not be able to immediately accommodate your request, I have a ‘Waiting List’ which is referred to daily when instances of cancellations or availabilities occur.

Booking & Cancellation Policy

Due to COVID-19, I am temporarily limiting the number of daily appointments. The health and safety of my clients and myself is very important to me. For this reason, please come alone to your appointment. If you are experiencing a fever, cough, or sore throat, please reschedule your appointment for when you are no longer symptomatic. If you have been to a COVID-19 impacted area or have been in close contact with a person infected with COVID-19, I ask that you please reschedule your appointment for 14 days past the date of contact. Please note, I am requesting that clients wear face coverings when they arrive for their appointments. If you do not have a mask, one will be provided for you.

Amid the ongoing uncertainty of COVID-19, I have modified my cancellation policy to offer greater flexibility to all my clients. I hope this will alleviate any stress and hesitation you have about an upcoming appointment. If you need to reschedule for whatever reason, and especially if you are not feeling well, I understand and request for you to please contact me as soon as possible to reschedule. To further support you, there will be no penalties for cancellations.

Appointments may be scheduled online or via the Ovatu You app. You may also call Slow Beauty Eco Salon on + 61 2 6156 4746.  Cash, Osko with PayID (connect@slowbeauty.com.au), Apple Pay, Google Pay, EFTPOS (provided the card has a chip), VISA, MasterCard and American Express, are accepted for payment. Card transactions are subject to a 2% surcharge. If you hold a Gift Card please quote your Gift Card number when scheduling your appointment.

A 50% non-refundable deposit is required to secure appointments. In the event the date and time of your service need to be changed, the full deposit will transfer to the new booking date and time, provided reasonable notice of no less than 24 hours is provided. Where less than 24 hours’ notice is provided, the deposit will be retained by me to cover some of the legitimate costs incurred in your last-minute change, given I am unlikely to be able to fill that time and will be unable to generate revenue for that period I would have been tending to you. 

For cancellations, provided more than 24 hours’ notice is provided, I will return your deposit in full.  Where less than 24 hours notice is provided, the full deposit will be retained by me to cover the legitimate costs incurred in your last-minute change, given I am unlikely to be able to fill that time and will be unable to generate revenue for that period in which I would have been tending to you.  

Where your method of payment was by way of a gift voucher or instore credit, and a cancellation cost applies as noted above, the value of the cancellation cost will be deducted from your gift voucher or instore credit. 

Slow Beauty Eco Salon does not offer refunds for change of mind, so please choose carefully.  Where a refund or replacement is required under the Australian Consumer Law, I will work with you to ensure you are provided with the necessary reasonable remedy specific to your circumstances. 

If you are late for your appointment, you will lose that time and your treatment will not be completed to the usual standard of Slow Beauty Eco Salon.  If you don’t attend your appointment, your access to online booking will be revoked and you will be liable for 100% of the service fee. This fee must be paid prior to you receiving another appointment. If you do not attend your appointment on two occasions within a twelve-month period, you will be required to pre-pay all future appointments.

Changes or cancellations to the reservation can be made online up to 24 hours prior to your reservation time.

Appointment Confirmations

To ensure you never forget an appointment, a text message and an email will be sent to you requesting confirmation 2 days prior to the date of your appointment. A simple YES is all that is required to confirm your appointment. If an appointment remains unconfirmed by the close of business the day before your appointment it will be cancelled and the booking fee will be lost.

Illness

If you are unwell, I ask that you please contact me as soon as you are able to reschedule your appointment. If it is outside of the 24-hour cancellation window, please reschedule your appointment online. If you attend an appointment while you are unwell, you will be refused service and charged 100% of your scheduled appointment fee. I have compromised immunity and will not risk my health, or the health of my family for my work. If I am unwell, I will contact you as soon as I am able, but not before 7 am or after 8 pm.

Package Policy

Package validity periods are advised in each description and will automatically expire after the advised number of days. Packages are non-refundable and non-transferrable.

Purchase Policy

Unopened products may be exchanged within 14 days of purchase. Opened products will not be exchanged.

Privacy Policy

Slow Beauty Eco Salon diligently monitors the privacy and confidentiality of personal information and ensures compliance to all relevant legislative and moral requirements by instilling discipline in all aspects of the business.

Slow Beauty Eco Salon’s objective is to protect and maintain the privacy and security of all personal information gathered in accordance with the Privacy Act 1988. The Privacy Act contains a set of standards for handling personal information for clients, known as the National Privacy Principles (NPP’s). Personal information collected by Slow Beauty Eco Salon generally comprises of name, occupation, contact details, and birthdate.

The National Privacy Principles require Slow Beauty Eco Salon not to store personal information longer than necessary. I am committed to the privacy and protection of your information, should you require any further information, please contact me.

Gift Cards

Gift cards are not refundable. Gift cards are redeemable at the monetary value of the service at the time of purchase and should only be purchased directly from Slow Beauty Eco Salon. Cards purchased through other suppliers will not be honoured.

Referral Programme

Introduce those you care about to Slow Beauty Eco Salon and receive 1000 Loyalty Points for each referral.

Refunds

Slow Beauty Eco Salon’s goods and services come with guarantees that cannot be excluded under the Australian Consumer Law. For major failures with the service, you are entitled to cancel your service contract with us; and to a refund for the unused portion, or to compensation for its reduced value.  

You are also entitled to choose a refund or replacement for major failures with goods. If a failure with the goods or service does not amount to a major failure, you are entitled to have the failure rectified in a reasonable time. If this is not done you are entitled to a refund for the goods and to cancel the contract for the service and obtain a refund of any unused portion. You are also entitled to be compensated for any other reasonably foreseeable loss or damage from a failure in the goods or service.

You are not entitled to a refund for change of mind or change of purpose for which you bought the product or service, including for pre-pays, where there is no product or service failure. You are also not entitled to a refund where you found the product or service cheaper somewhere else, decided you did not like the purchase or had no use for it.  

Student and Senior Discount

Students and Seniors will receive 10% off services on presentation of a current Student or Seniors Card, valid only on Tuesdays.

Loyalty Programme

Loyal customers of Slow Beauty Eco Salon accrue points for every dollar spent, which can be redeemed at 1000 points for a $10 Loyalty Discount. Loyalty Points are valid for 12 months and are not transferable. Alexandria Professional VIP Rewards Members, Slow Beauty Goddess Members,  and discount package services do not qualify for Loyalty Reward Points.

Clients who are following the Full Circle of Skin Conditioning will be invited to join the Alexandria Professional VIP Rewards programme. Clients will receive a loyalty card and will receive a sticker for the card and their tenth treatment free on completion of the card.
